Painting By Moonlight

As if blindfolded
first I paint your eyes
highlighting the sparkle
radiating the truth your
love speaks.

Then the curve of your nose
that flares when you laugh.
Your mouth is full and rich
so I linger here to portray
their rich smile.

Moonlight becomes a halo
to enhance the wonder of you
as I lay to rest in the curve
of your strong arms, putting
everything else aside and
shutting the night's light out.
