Missing Pieces

Postby Tom Balch » Thu Jan 22, 2015 8:39 pm

And whilst in pensive mood I sit
arranging pieces so they fit,
away from all the pains of life
making sense of all the strife,
unanswered questions from the deep
white noise keeping me from sleep
and in the darkness waves of doubt
withheld solutions screaming out,
on deaf ears pleading seems to fall
no reasons offered from bare walls,
these empty echo’s are my friends
arranging pieces without an end.

There is usually very little sense to made of strife Tom,it just comes and goes leaving us with jumbled thoughts and "what ifs".

Pieces don't fit and we don't know why, we doubt ourselves and get lost in the wilderness of time.

Maybe it is best to try and forget about those empty spaces and look to tomorrow..

This is powerful penning and I have read it three times and the imagery is amazing. I start thinking of the saying "Worry does not rob tomorrow of sorrow, but it saps today of strength." A most impressive write Tom.
