My Search - a spontaneous write

Postby Sandra Martyres » Wed Jan 28, 2015 1:30 pm

I walked many miles,
In search of happiness,
But it deluded me.

I ran many miles,
In search of peace,
But it avoided me.

I swam many miles,
In search of freedom,
But it dodged me.

Finally, I decided
To return home,
And cherish what I had.

I think many of us do that Sandra,
we somehow think the grass is greener somewhere else only to find that the greenest grass was right here all along..

Happiness, peace and freedom, all found at home, loved it, Sandra.

Home is a haven for the heart and such a beautiful place to come home to. We live and learn and become wiser I believe. I am glad you
posted your spontaneous write as this is so true Sandra.

A great feel given through this write on that seeming search for self we all take to, Sandra...until we realize that we've been in possession of what we've been searching for all along, Ma'am...or that is has been available to us most, if not, all the time we were searching.
