Often whilst walking in my garden
my thoughts dear friend turn to you
and how you loved to sit on your log
enjoying the flowers too

You meant so much to so many
always finding just the right word
forever reaching out in poetry
which is still being read and heard

Thank you for touching my life
and allowing me a glimpse in to yours
for you were truly a humble man
who opened for many God’s doors

Paddy, the friends you made on your journey
they will treasure the shared hours
and, as you tend the gardens of heaven
you will find them again
amongst the flowers
