An accidental meeting with his grandmother, brought back memories from the past....
********************************************************************
Her volatility knew no limits,
One day her spirits would soar to the sky,
The next day they could easily dive down
Spiralling into the depths of the sea.
On her good days, they would watch her in awe
And follow her around like small puppies.
On bad days they would stay invisible,
Totally out of her line of vision.
By chance the other day, after twenty years
He had the privilege of meeting her.
Nothing had changed, in fact she seemed much worse.
When his grandma saw him she screeched aloud:
Where were you all these difficult long years?
Have you forgotten the good times we had,
The chocolate cakes I used to bake for you?
You left me alone to fend for myself...
True I loved your cakes, but feared your yells...
You do know Grandma, how young boys react.
Today I feel wiser and do recall,
All that you did for us your grandchildren.
I am glad that I accidentally met you,
An opportunity to say thank you.
But I won't be able to stay longer
My heart's bigger but my love's not stronger!
