Shy Spring

Spring is somewhere
In the meadow
Behind the shrubs
Among the trees

I haven't seen it
But I smelled it
Heard it, felt it
In the breeze

Though flurries cast their
White upon it
Cover it
In winter sky

I hear the birds
They know about it
Tell about it
Spring is shy.

Oh so delicately penned Cindy;
she is shy and fragile in the way she only shows herself slowly, but as you say the birds know about it,soon they will be singing her welcome..

A lovely refreshing write...thank you

Ah, the bashfulness of Spring is so wonderfully depicted in this charming and well-told write, Cindy. I wish Spring would be just a little more bold, and come out of the shadows and into the sunshine.

What a gorgeous way to write about timid spring and she is in the air as your nose can't help knowing about her. This is enchanting and beautiful thank you Cindy...

A rhyming delight of a springtime poem, Cindy. Just loved it.
