Hope and Promise By Stella and Tom

Postby Tom Balch » Wed Apr 01, 2015 7:20 pm

Stella and I wrote this Pentaiku. I must say that is was a pleasure working with such a talented poet. Thank you , Stella.

Hope and Promise (Pentaiku) By Stella and Tom

What do you see through your window today?

"I see promises
in the colours of the sky,
dancing on high"

And what do you wish for this springtime morn?

"I wish young spring buds
from their green cradles unfurl,
in colourful swirl”

And what do you hear outside my dear one?

“I hear nature´s song
excited parents cheering,
new life on the wing”

And does your heart race on seeing this sight?

“Oh yes, very much
these fresh beginnings I see
just set my heart free”

A delightful write from two talented poets, and it is particularly significant as spring would be in your countries. We all need hope and so many people lose hope, but after they read this it could very well be restored. I notice rhyme is used, and I can imagine a song of hope and promise being sung.
Thank you Stella and Tom as I have woken up to such a joyful poem.

I find this form quite endearing, and specifically how this write clarifies the joy felt, expanding that mood and pronouncing a feel of infectious glee. A most awesome pairing you two make with this write, Stella and Tom.

Loudest applause both for the form and the wonderful portrayal from two of our favourite poets. Very well done indeed you clever pair.
