For All It´s Worth

Postby Tom Balch » Sun Apr 12, 2015 11:49 am

When all is said and all is done
and the dust has settled at last
the only way is forward now
so no looking back at the past.

You´ve taken it for all it´s worth
you wasted so much precious time
the past cannot be changed my friend
so leave it, things will turn out fine.

When all is said and all is done
the dead horse flogged and no one won
think about those wasted words
and that you never saw the sun...

"No looking back at the past", hard to accept Tom but to move forward we have to do just that sometimes..

Wonderful rhyme and flow in your poems.. thank you my friend

Wise Wise words my friend. It's no use looking back but far
better to consider a better future, and how to get to it. I
spent my life flogging a dead horse. The one I backed in
the National last Saturday appeared to be completely dead.

Such good advice and the 'dead horse flogged' really did it for me and loved the rhyme and rhythm too Tom!
