Abandon.

Postby Fay Slimm » Fri Apr 17, 2015 11:37 am

Such a beautiful thing is a shell,
floating it sings 'tho half-empty,
sculptured for strength in excess
of accents or patterns an ecstasy
with wave-lovers has undressed
its close-partnered togetherness.

Oh shell of beauty, gone forever
your wholeness but in a sea-bed
still white your glisten measures
pace with the breakers in restless
dance of sheer abandon even yet.

So beautiful they are and quite magical when we are young , and maybe we see the miracle of them as we grow older and appreciate the form and hues in which they come... another natural wonder from the sea..
Fay i am swaying with the waves here 150 miles inland...lol thank you :)

A delight as always Fay. I walk our local shores most days taking
in the beauty that the sands have to offer. As Stella says, there
is something quite magic about shells.

Even lacking wholeness, the shell still sings forth beautifully and continues to share with us its grace and beauty, Fay. A glorious write, my friend.
