The Still-Near.

Postby Fay Slimm » Wed Apr 22, 2015 10:28 am

Lingers the still-near but soon
will be fading.
He man of much loving talent
bade no goodbye.
Wheels carry happenings thru'
what lies in wait.
I can but yield to shifting sand
of time's keen eye.

Fled my joy when north became
south and east west.
Gone buoyant hopes of clearly
felt duo-fate.
Dimming veils hold but remains
in tearful wrench.
Hard to see start is the still-near
floating away.

The agony made known through this verse at the undue and untimely separation between two who have loved one another so completely pierces the heart, dear Fay. Your high skill in verse is such that we, too, feel that stab and wrenching pain within our own hearts, Ma'am. May the Lord continue to comfort and bless you, my friend.

Aw Fay he will always be near and if he fades a little it is only because he would not want things to be still but to move gently forward and carry your shared joy in a special pocket of your heart.

This seems such a tragic parting of the ways dear Fay, and thank God for writing where the pain can be placed on a page to help your hurting heart.
I really like Stella's philosophy in her closing words to move gently forward and Richards closing words as well.
