Laid Bare

When the flower blooms
hidden in the mist
like your love for him
not yet ever kissed,

it’s all a fantasy,
all a delusion

until

the mist disappears
and there you are
in your nakedness,

still un-kissed
but flowering
with no veil to hide
and he sees you bare,

and the mist was never
really there.

(Think i have been reading to many of Cohen's poems..lol)

A beautifully penned and very sensual poem, Stella. Love the closing lines.

A sultry fantasy that brilliantly exposes a lover who hides, and you have inspired me to read Leonard Cohan's poems too thank you Stella!

I love it. I too will have to read some of Cohen's poems.

A sensual air given voice in this awesome write, Stella. When bared, our souls can shine so beautifully, Ma'am.

The sensuality engendered in this poem is on an ethereally, divine plain and certainly inoffensive to anyone.A delight
