My Time of Day (pentaiku poem)

What is your most beautiful time of day?

Just as the dawn breaks
In the pink blush of morning
I hear the birds sing.

But what if it is raining when you wake?

I hear the patter
Of raindrops like tiny feet
Tip tapping so sweet.

What is your really treasured time of day?

It must be twilight
When shadows begin to fall
I love most of all.

But why do you like darkness more than day?

I like the soft hush
And the serenity too
A time to renew

Do you not like it when the sun is high?

That is time to work
And i must have my employ
No space to find joy.

Then your time is the dawn and close of day?

I like solitude
And the calm of restful light
Neath the stars at night.

A lovely pentaiku and it is great to see this form appear again with beautiful penning. True to your name 'Stella' you prefer the serenity and I love how you are 'neath the stars in your closing line.

This is absolutely beautiful, Stella. Exactly how I feel the form should be and the end lines to the answers rhyme perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful poem. You should be huffing on nails and rubbing them on shirt. Love it so much.

I do so like how the queries, put forth, and the answers given allow for depth and clarity on the subject presented, Stella. An intelligent form that allows for beautiful responses to logical and well-thought questions, Ma'am. I deeply appreciate the beauty and the aptly cogent and puissantly astute nature of this form, Stella. Kudos, Ma'am!

Such a beautifully readable form - the back and forth of question and answer enthralls the reader. A wonderful poem dear Stella.

A delightful write in this comfy format. I agree with
Fays comment. My best time is bedtime after a few
Jack Daniels, and a pint of Guinness.
