Before Winter

Postby Stella » Thu May 14, 2015 9:09 am

Image

We, the trees
danced all night
unashamedly swaying
in our own secret, sensual
rhythmic flair leaning into the
familiar ecstatic breeze
as it lifted high
our skirts all the
way up to sweet
voluptuous arms
whilst it tingle teased
our pleasure.

We clung one to the
other deliriously
bodies linked in unison,
eager fingers entwined
as our ethereal songs
whispered to the
melting moon.
Oh what joy we found
that last night
in the forest before
winter came.

A remarkable picture and write with sensuality featured, and a delightful way to spend time before winter. I really love the imagery in the first seven lines of the second stanza thank you Stella.

I must admit Stella I did wonder why the poem reads 'as if it lifted our skirts' as I imaged the tree to be two lovers (a male and a female) because of the sensuality used and other images used in the first stanza. Perhaps you could say 'we are the trees who danced all night' as it would have clarified the poem for me. I am sorry I misinterpreted your poem Stella. Would you believe the next poem I will post will be about two trees too!

I love this. I love that you gave personality to trees in this way. It's very fascinating to picture the scene for me, since I love trees so much. Wonderful poem.

Quite lyrical, and the imagery is to die for, Stella. Such a depth of passion explored and expounded upon...Wow!

:o Stunning and sensual actually masterfully clever. The picture is awesome the words spoke volumes
loved every line. I did one of a willow tree but pale in comparrison. So miss the tenderness if the
manly embrace - if true of course
