Summer Winds

Postby Simply Bono » Sat May 16, 2015 1:02 am

When my eyes first saw you I fell in love
you flashed me a smile because you knew
my heart stopped still for just a moment
hoping what I read in your eyes was true.

I smile at the warm flames behind your eyes
the gentleness there caused my heart to soar
the weight of your stare set my soul on fire
as my lips part begging for nothing more.

The summer winds sing a balmy breeze
the full moon hangs high in the night skies
a big yellow button connecting sky and sea
in a heartbeat you claim me with your eyes.

My head swirls with boundless passion for you
you're looking at me with your own eternal love
consuming me with your soul -devouring fire
the tender passion you show is a gift from above.

The sea looked like black satin scattered in stars
as your heart-stopping lips pressed against mine
I was spellbound in your overwhelming desire
knowing our love was held captive in warped time.
