reflecting moonlight
Jungfrau in her white mantle
evening splendour
and in the cool crisp morning
wake to the sound of cow bells

A while back when I posted a Tanka I mentioned this one as being truer to form because of the jump in the fourth line from the impersonal to the personal/romantic perspective. Hope you like it.

Thank you Ken, for sharing you knowledge about the Tanka form with us. I certainly had no idea about the turn in the fourth line, and i must now go back and edit the Tanka poems in my collection. This "turn" is reminscent of the kireji in haiku.

Thank you....

A glorious photograph with beautiful imagery, and the for some reason 'the cool crisp morning' and 'sound of cow bells' really did it for me thank you Ken.

The picture and tanka whetted my longing to see for myself that wonderful place - - a lovely read Ken.

Now that is one gorgeous picture, depicting the beauty of nature. Your wonderful verse captures the tranquility that must be known by those who live within such a magnificent sight, sir.
