Sky Ocean Puddle

Oh, the joy of standing at the edge
of a puddle after the rain has passed,
and the sky is now a clear blue
with a haze of calmness
in the damp of the fresh air
................ and a surrounding feeling of peace.

And I look down at the puddle
with the reflection of that sky
beckoning me to step
into a deep ocean of stillness,
and lose myself
in the vastness of (my) imagination ...............

The quietude and calm you evoke through this verse is amazing, Denys. I sometimes find myself lost in the moment while staring silently into puddles myself, sir, though I could never have conveyed it as gorgeously as you have here.

A lovely composition.

The reflection of the sky on water does seem to create a dreamy, other-wordly feeling. Very beautiful poem.

Reminds me of when the reflection of the hillsides appear on the waters of a lake, a painting twice loved! Nice writing.
