Empowered.

Today with strong wind held in abeyance
I walked to the moorland high above sea,
put on young zest of girlhood to out-race
the sunrise, ran with dawn in pursuit, freed
adult frustration by singing aloud
that if came another sad day's open door
I would dance thru' it now boldly empowered
for nature's brooming clears mind's stony floor.
Great the awareness inspired by moorland
when silence takes time to impregnate awe.

An inspiring and beautiful verse, dear Fay. When we allow ourselves the time to truly appreciate nature, we can be uplifted and feel such vivaciousness thrumming through our very souls. A beautiful picture to accompany this exquisite write, Ma'am.

"To out-race the sun" sounds so invigorating. Nature truly has a way of sweeping the cobwebs of the mind away. I love the poem.
