Sweet-Born Smile

Postby Nightmute » Fri Jun 05, 2015 5:53 pm

Oh, that life is made much less
without your sweet-born smile.
And so, my life, a travesty
when not within your proximity.

Let us hunker down awhile, my Love,
and spend our time nose-to-nose;
no bitter rose will raise a thorn,
and longer still, we, nose-to-nose,
to shut out the din of the world.

Oh, that life can be made sweeter, still,
when your sweet-born smile is near;
and nothing dearer for my heart
to be found within all the realms of earth.

Enlivened, gladdened
within your fragrant-sweet smile.

Nose-to-nose, and ever so
how much I love the tickle of you.

I just adore that closing couplet Richard...

It is so strange that whilst i was at a local beauty spot today a photographer was filming a young couple , and i walked by he was saying to them get so close that you are touching noses..i smiled not knowing you would be posting this lovely poem tonight.. :D

Nicely done...very lovely words indeed...Enjoyed a lot...Rose

Oh, that life can be made sweeter, still,
when your sweet-born smile is near;
and nothing dearer for my heart
to be found within all the realms of earth.

Oh so romantic this confession of love - you word the contentment so well dear Richard - - wishing you many more years of that nose-to-nose snuggling. A beautiful read.
