Orphans

Postby Tom Balch » Sat Jun 13, 2015 7:43 am

There´s a barrow full of babies,
eight in every load
orphans of the jungle
being taken down the road.

They watched their mothers
being slaughtered
hacked to pieces by the men
who do it for the money
time and time again;

Sixteen sad and worried eyes
stare out with vacant gaze
as they are taken to the jungle
for rehabilitation and for play.

The loyal friendly helpers
work to gain the orphans trust
this really is important
in fact it is a must.

A barrow full of orphans
the cutest sight you´ll ever see,
how man can be so callous...
it really baffles me.

Me too Tom...

Lovely rhyme and flow to portray these orphans and their bewilderment at seeing their mothers slaughtered , what a cruel world we live in, i feel so ashamed to be part of it sometimes..

A poignant and a heartfelt write, nicely composed.

These situations fill the populous with anger and a feeling of
hopelessness. There are too many dictators governing
lawless countries, full of murderous b*****ds , with bloody
hands. Governments don't know how to deal with it, and
it's left to planks like Geldof to put a little a band-aid on it.
