Stephen

Stephen

My sweetest child,
gifted from late found love;
this blue eyed boy with darling dark hair.
a little miracle sleeping in my arms,
he and i, no-one else to care.

I watched him
grow bigger every day,
first smile, first steps, first walk, and word.
Taking my hand playing in the park,
telling the first story he heard.

All grown up now
with children of his own
he works hard and is doing well,
honest and kind, thoughtful and true;
in pride he makes my heart swell.

The roles in our lives
are slowly changing now,
the hourglass has spent a lot of sand.
Now as we play with children in the park
he says “Here mum, take my hand”.

Such a heartfelt and loving walk down a Mum's memory lane and such a beautiful picture to show that little boys grow and with help from a mother's past love will one day make a wonderful Dad. - - Stephen is surely a credit to all your fine efforts dear Stella.

The roles change, indeed, Stella, and it is with beautiful memories and current moments of delight that we remember our children, Ma'am, and they remember us, too. Such a stirring and beautiful write, and the photo truly conveys the joy and pride of a parent who loves her child.
