Decomposition

Postby Prashant Shaurya » Sun Jun 21, 2015 6:38 pm

Decomposition
I do not know why I was born
Nor do I know how I would die
But the soft shackles that
Life puts forth, confine me
Choke me, squeeze me dry.

Had Phoenix been a man; would she
Get burnt to be born again
Once dead inside; would man,
Bow down to evil’s reign
Or, from ashes rise again.

Life is what we leave behind
As generous as we are
From rags to riches, then back again
To be rescued by the cosmos as
Earth, Fire, Water, Wind and Sky.

Welcome Prashant, it is a delight to see you sharing your wonderful poetry with us again..

I would like to think that man would rise again from the ashes to be better than before,
and yes i agree with your wise thoughts that life is what we leave behind us as the cosmos rescues all good things..

A cogent, philosophical write that infers the importance of perspective that we hold to as we journey through this life we've been given, Prashant. A write well worth pondering over, sir.

A deeply meaningful write where your readers can mull over your questions, and I really like how you have used the elements as your conclusion thank you Prashant.
