The Question

Never question the life we’ve led, my love,
Or the choices that we’ve made.
Don’t ask if the place we find ourselves
Is worth the price we paid.

Don’t worry about the path we took
Or the places we have been;
Or whether we’d do things differently
If we'd strength to try again.

The past is a faded shadow;
Never to return.
Why struggle over lessons
It’s far too late to learn?

The question couldn’t be simpler.
It’s the answer that we fear.
It’s the question that never goes away:
Where do we go from here?

This is certainly one of the best poems I have read of late, Jess. Poetry at it´s best.

a good question Jess, but we always follow our instinctive path on this journey through life, and as each path holds the unknown we keep travelling in hope..

Great read Jess - -full of reasons to ignore the last question - when we have tasted the good life together we never need fear where we are going henceforth.... a poem for poets is this little gem.
