A caress of a soft whisper

Gently rustling in the leaves

An alluring feather drifting,

The nest of night it weaves.


Upon wings of a sparrow

Petals of dawn unfold,

A brilliant budded flower,

Abloom with secrets untold.


Sunflower seeds scatter

Upon a barefoot meadow

They tango in the breeze,

Chimes in the wind echo.


A caress of a soft whisper

The sunlight in our hair,

And sweet scent of prairie grass

The love of nature we share.
