Come Dream with Me ~ a rondeau

Come dream with me ‘neath ardent skies
serene and graceful close your eyes,
dream on a special sapphire star
i see one watching from afar
he charms the night and mystifies

when we awaken at sunrise
perhaps our love we should disguise
and keep to us this sweet boudoir,
come dream with me.

The heavens whisper wistful sighs
so sweet, but soon the dawn will rise
and our embrace will seem so far,
but this is only “Au revoir”
My plea each night as twilight dies,
"Come dream with me"
