October Morn in Russet Hues (a wrapped refrain)

Postby Stella » Sat Jul 04, 2015 12:14 pm

Image
October morn comes cold yet sweet
when autumn leaves crunch ‘neath my feet.
A spider web is veiled in white
as early frosts hand paint the night.
Stays longer now, the dark before a breaking dawn
which rises radiant on this October morn.

In russet hues deep reds unfold
as trees dance in their skirts of gold.
Leaves twist and turn in pirouette
their beauty fading yes, but yet
if just one special season heart and soul must choose
then autumn is my desire, rich in russet hues

Glorious imagery and you do expert justice with your crafting of the Wrapped Refrain form. Your words paint superb pictures with colour, sound and dance, and your love of autumn is a joy to read thank you Stella.

A fabulous flowing piece written in the colours of Autumn. This
piece is so delightful, yet succinct. Fewer words can often still
paint a lovely picture.
