CHARITY

I paid a visit to the Charity shop
and oh wow, did I enjoy the display!
The cd’s and records were wonderful
I could have easily stayed there all day.

They had books and maps and pictures galore,
old armchairs and some new ones, just a few.
I think Charity is a lucky girl
for she had lots of toys and teddies too.

There were some beds and cupboards and tables
televisions and computers as well;
lamps and fires, such fantastical things
even a tricycle with a red bell

So politely I asked the lady there
if Charity would like to have a friend
and she replied in a very loud voice
that her Charity would like it no end

Well the very next day I went again
but Charity was nowhere to be seen,
the lady with the terrible loud voice
said the floor in the toilets I could clean

I thought that really wasn’t very nice,
the main reason I had come was to play
as Charity seemed not to be at home
I “Borrowed” her toys and then ran away.

I only have a moment and so I popped on here for a quick look. Imagine my surprise at finding my daughter's name in all caps. Of course this is the one I had to read. Very adorable, I must say. Perfect. Of course, I might be biased. :-)
