My Favourite Place

My favourite place is just beyond my mind,
through a dream and a little to the left.
There are no doors or windows there,
no walls to pass through or floors to tread,
just a pocket where love keeps its memories.
A soft and gentle place I visit in the evenings
for remembrance before I close my day.
Sometimes an angel has left me a message
tucked deeply down inside of my pocket.
Tonight she left one for me from you,
it said, “Keep me safe in your memories”
You know I will………
