The Naga Sage

Postby Prashant Shaurya » Sat Aug 08, 2015 5:47 pm

They smear thy love to hide their sheen
For beauty, they found, is hidden within
Through sunken eyes, as calm as thee
They embrace thy art, in joyous spree.

In search of peace through coarse terrains
From Himalayan caves to Gangetic plains
Vide carnivals galore to no man’s lane
They fathom with might through rituals’ chain.

They accept what the worlds despise
Immune in dirt, immune in vise
Meaningful or Meaning less
Behold; what you find!

Beauty indeed is hidden within - a fine read to remind us that searching for peace is the way - thanks for posting this Prashant

I don't pretend to understand the title (but would be interested to find out) and am somewhat bemused by some lines, probably because of my ignorance but.....wow....that last stanza is AWESOME. Some basic tenets of Zen perfectly expressed there. Truly, there can be no judgement of what is good and bad as all things are relative.
