Blossom
the tree gives me
blossom
Pink and white petals dancing in the air
delicately twist and turn as they fall
laying a perfumed carpet at my feet.
always the tree gives me
blossom


Hope
the tree gives me
hope
open arms reach to the sky seeking light,
as calm lays ‘neath the spreading canopy
only the breeze will whisper in this peace.

Shadows
the tree gives me
shadows
Long stretching fingers of shade kiss the ground
in cool paths ‘twixt ladders of sunshine rays
as dappled shapes imitate dancing leaves.

shadows


Strength
the tree gives me
strength
Deep roots that remind me stay grounded,
graceful swaying boughs to keep me humble,
tranquil outstretched arms welcome me to pray.
always the tree gives me
strength
