Reforming

Postby Tom Balch » Thu Aug 13, 2015 9:45 am

There´s no resemblance now to what it was
the changes have stolen its past, its character,

its simple ways of years ago are now no longer here
and although it´s sad, it´s a blessing too;

It feels as though we drag it screaming into the “now”
but it is looking all the better for it, and sounder too;

The before and after images tell of a journey it really needed
a journey that me thinks...we needed too.

Hi Tom, and i have a feeling this is all about your home; the before and after and the journey in between.

We do tend to cling to things that made us feel safe in the past, but as my son tells me " You have to move with the time, things change " :lol:

Takes some doing Tom this bloomin' reforming when things have been moved to inaccessible places. Have been there and feel for the time it takes to appreciate the before and after.

Nice little poem. I like it's simplicity and I like your choice of words. I also like the message - change isn't always easy, but can be so worth it.
