Just For You Poetry

I thought that I,
could make it on my own,
but now I know, this isn't so,
I just discovered it,
what You have always known.

I couldn't see the truth,
it was hidden in my mind,
recessed in my subconscious,
filed away for years,
you know... the carnal kind.

You called me out one day,
and I was re-created,
shown the Spirit and the Love,
finding blessings daily,
serene and understated.

With grace, I know Your passion,
with faith, I'm in You're hands,
content to give my soul to You,
content to sing Your praises,
loving life, from where it stands.

You forgave me for my wicked past,
blotted out my shameful sin,
giving me new life,
forgetting past omissions,
and where in life I'd been.

We do eventually grow up and find ourselves, although often it is in later years that we come to realize there is something else within us that has been nurturing us all along.
There is such a warm and safe feeling when we are re-created and find that we can turn to prayer, whatever our religion may be..a lovely, honest and heartfelt write David..thank you
