Tears Interfere.

No verdant-edged bay covered with sand
tells of the happenings when pitiless man
sailed indifferent ships laden with cuffed
lovers, husbands and strong sons enough
to build with intent the Slave-Trade abuse.

No sign left of iron hood or human noose
rusting around pain-made mansions here
but listen to women's moanings, for years
carried by oceans their grief not grown old.
Such tears interfere with peace, as foretold.

Yes, the ghosts of grief still abide in the dunes Fay , they are imprinted on time and it is good that those brave women are remembered all this time on.

Thank you for this informative poem about your beloved Cornwall and its people... :)

a powerful portrayal of those troubling times
