Just For You Poetry

Lord, when I think of all the years I did not know You,
drinking beers in smoke-infested bars;
I am humbled and amazed that You accept me,
and place me in, Your human galaxy of stars.

Stars that shine so brightly in the pit of night,
beacons for those, who ever seek the way;
a guide for those that have lost the path,
a burning light that cuts the dark of day.

Lord, when I think of all the time I did not know You,
when anger was an anchor, a stench upon my breath;
I bow in holy reverence, to offer up a prayer,
that I may come to know You better, after death.

When I threw away my life, You raised me high,
when I cursed aloud, Your forgiveness pardoned me;
when I cheated, lied and stole, my eyes were blind,
now You've erased the veil, that I might see.

Lord, when I think of all the years I did not know You,
when flesh was my companion and Your Spirit was a foe;
I weep and cry for mercy on my sin-filled past,
rejoicing in Your name, the only one I need to know.

i don't know how to express my feelings about this lovely prayer David...maybe just one word,it makes me feel "Humble"
