Pocket full of Rainbows

Postby Adette » Fri Jan 06, 2017 11:29 pm

I’ve got a pocket full of rainbows
And a pocket full of love
And all the stars in heaven
Sprinkle snowdrops from above

The moon with her wonder lust
Sprays dark skies with light
She paints a pretty picture
In the darkness of the night

I’ve got a pocket full of rainbows
To share with all the world
Majestic in their beauty
Showering peace upon the earth

The bluest of the oceans
With its secrets deep beneath
The stories it could tell
Of treasures buried deep

I’ve got a pocket full of rainbows
My heart is full of joy
The splendour of the universe
The wonders that it holds

A beautiful and refreshing poem to start the new year with, we all need rainbows after the rain and this is delightful Adette, light and uplifting on a dull, dreary day :)

This would brighten anyone's day with its passionate tribute to the wonders of nature and imaginative and beautiful imagery. Very well done!
